TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our car rental services and website (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
- Rental Requirements
- You must be at least 25 years of age and in possession of a valid driver’s license from your home country.
- You must have a valid credit card in your name to cover the rental charges and security deposit.
- Reservations and Payment
- Security deposits must be paid in order to reserve a vehicle.
- Confirmation of reservation is made once security deposit is paid. Feel free to call if you have further questions.
- Our preferred method of payment is via credit card when making your online reservation on the website. An additional benefit of using a credit card for payment is that several major credit cards offer rental car insurance coverage which is great to supplement with the Third-Party coverage that we offer, which is included in your rental car cost. Our payments are handled easily and securely via our website.
- We accept all major credit cards, cash or direct deposits to the business account. We do not accept American Express or personal checks.
- Please allow 5-7 days for processing of security deposit refund.
- Security deposit will only be refunded after inspection of vehicle.
- Vehicles and Availability
- We offer a variety of vehicles to suit your needs.
- We reserve the right to substitute a similar vehicle if your chosen vehicle is unavailable.
- Rental Rates and Fees
- Rental rates are based on the vehicle type and rental period.
- Additional fees may apply for items such as child seats, roadside assistance etc.
- Insurance
- All rental vehicles are covered with Third party insurance coverage. If you have a credit card that includes additional car rental insurance, it will be an additional benefit to use that credit card when paying for your rental. We provide the convenience of online payment via our website pineapplecruisecarrentals.com which accepts all major credit and debit cards. However, we do not accept American Express.
- Driver Responsibility
- The signed driver responsible for operating the vehicle in a safe and lawful manner at all times.
- We drive on the LEFT side of the road in the Bahamas. There is very little traffic on the road, but the roads are very curvy and hilly. Ensure that you are driving on the left side at all times and do not try to overtake a vehicle if you cannot see around a corner or over a hill.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
- You are liable for any traffic violation incurred during the rental period.
- Damage and Accidents
- In the event of damage to the vehicle, you must report the incident to Pineapple Cruise Rentals immediately. In the event of an accident report immediately to the authorities (number provided on the contract).
- The renter will be charged if the vehicle is returned with any issues, as well as loss revenue for time of repairs.
- The renter will also be charged for tire/rim repair or replacement if damaged while driving. There are several potholes on the roads Please drive carefully. The cost of tire repair can range from $25 for a plug to $75-100 for a new tire.
- There is a $150 fee for loss of hub caps and car mats. In other words, if 1 out of the 4 is missing from the set, the driver agrees to pay the fee for a complete set.
- There is a fee for any vehicle that is returned with scratches and/or dents. This fee will be added to the total cost of the rental, billed to the driver's credit card or payable in cash.
- There is a $200.00 fee for lost keys.
- Pick-up and Drop-off
- We offer free pick-up and drop-off service from North Eleuthera and Governors Harbour Airports, Three Island Dock and Gene’s Bay Dock.
- Fuel Policy
- Vehicles must be returned on the same gas level as was rented. Failure to do so will result in a deduction of security deposit.
- Cancelation Policy
- Security deposit is non-refundable after 48 hours after booking.
- Reservation is not confirmed until security deposit is paid.
- Rental fee can be paid in full at the airport or on line prior to arrival.
- Further, because the nature of this company is to reserve vehicles, any customer who wishes to return a vehicle early will not receive a refund for the remaining days. The funds for the remaining days will be forfeited and used for inconvenience fees.
- Cleaning Fee
- Vehicles that are returned extremely dirty (i.e, beach sand, dirty seats, rugs/mats and ceiling) that may require detailing services will be billed to the renter's credit card or deducted from the deposit. Agents from Pineapple Cruise Rentals will use their discretion to determine what is extremely dirty.
- Non-Smoking Policy
- Smoking is prohibited in all vehicles. There is a $200 cleaning fee for violation.
- Pick Up Instructions:
- One of our Agents will be at the terminal to greet you or vehicle will be parked at the airport/dock at a pre-arranged location.
- Termination
- We reserve the right to terminate your rental agreement at any time for violation of these Terms.
- Disclaimer of Warranties
- The vehicles are provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- Limitation of Liability
- Pineapple Cruise Rentals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Service.
- Indemnification
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pineapple Cruise Rentals from any and all claims, losses, damages, and expenses arising from your use of the Service.
- Changes to Terms and Conditions
- We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time. However, previous contracts will be honoured.
- The most current version of the Terms will be posted on our website.
- Governing Law
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The Bahamas.
